Florence's life was joyful. She surrounded herself with friends, family, and community. Her career as a Flint Area Parent-Child Nursery School teacher was spent at the play-dough table, teaching her students life lessons through kindness and creativity. Florence's legacy manifests itself in the many accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and former students. Since retirement, she could be found applauding enthusiastically at her grandchildren's various sporting events, concerts, and commencements as well as traveling to visit her many cousins and enjoying her investment club, bridge club, tennis team and book club. A dedicated volunteer, she served the Flint Institute of Arts, Hurley Medical Center, and King of Glory Church.

Florence loved her friends, neighbors, fellow volunteers and church, and was utterly devoted to her five children, 15 grandchildren and their families, and her little dog, Happy. She will be remembered and missed by many.

The family welcomes you to celebrate Flo's life at noon, Thursday, August 7th at King Of Glory Lutheran Church, 6012 River Road, Flushing Michigan. In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to her most beloved cause, the Duchenne Clinic Endowment Fund (796526), Department of Neurology--Development, the University of Michigan Medical Center, 1000 Oakbrook, Suite 100, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
