Macon- Floretta Huddleston Carter passed away July 7, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday July 12, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday July 11, 2011 in Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carter was born in Winder, GA to the late Charles Huddleston and Loretta Arnita Moore Huddleston. She was the widow of John Holland Carter.
Survivors include her children, Barbara C. Barnes (Jim) of Auburn, GA, John H. Carter (Pat) of California, Kenneth Carter (Patti) of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Laurie M. Cook (Greg), Scarlet Leverett (Bob), Lindsey Carter, Holland Carter, Justin Grebe, and Todd Grebe; five great grandchildren Corey and Chelsey Monroe, Nicole Cook, Ryan and Bella Grebe.
