Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Ford J. Lauer, Jr. who passed away in San Marcos, Texas on February 17, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Mr. Lauer was a graduate of Texas A&M University and was retired from the U.S Army where he earned the rank of Captain. Earlier in his military career he was Navy pilot during the Vietnam era. He is survived by his son, Ford J. Lauer III of New Braunfels; daughter, Cynthia Crockett and husband Roger of Marion, Texas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and brother, Steve Lauer and wife Linda of Florida. Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Ford J. Lauer, Jr. who passed away in San Marcos, Texas on February 17, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Mr. Lauer was a graduate of Texas A&M University and was retired from the U.S Army where he earned the rank of Captain. Earlier in his military career he was Navy pilot during the Vietnam era. Mr. Lauer was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Ruth Prescott Lauer. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery will full military honors. The family has requested memorials contributions be given to the Wounded Warrior's Program or flowers are welcome if you prefer.
