Fr. Pahl was born in Minneapolis on Jan. 9, 1933 to Richard and Margaret (Kopp) Pahl. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Thomas and Roger Pahl and sister Ruth Faust. He is survived by his sister Kathleen (Leonard) Woida; sister-in-law Pat Pahl; brother-in-law Brian Faust; nieces and nephews. Fr. Pahl professed his first vows as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate on August 15, 1952, in Godfrey, IL and was ordained a priest on Sept. 8, 1958, in Pine Hills, MS. Throughout his priesthood he served Oblate Institutions in Rome, Italy; Belleville, IL, Buffalo and St. Paul, MN. He also served at parishes in the following cities: Fond du Lac, Egg Harbor, Washington Island and Bailey's Harbor in Wisconsin, Sisseton, SD, and Bigfork, Effie, Duluth, Willow River, Sturgeon Bay and International Falls in MN. He was retired at St. Casimir's Parish until 2009 when he moved to the Marian Center.
