In 1965 she founded Christmas Day Care, a licensed daycare in North Carolina. Through the years, she cared for and nurtured many children and parents and was affectionately known as "Aunt Frances", "Fran Fran" and "Mammie". She lovingly cared for more than 2 generations of children.
