Frances Magdaline Christy, 73 of Reesman's Mobile Home Park, Waynesburg, died Monday, November 12, 2012 in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born September 24, 1939, in Vestaburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Senskey Piechnik.
Mrs. Christy was a graduate of Beth Center High School and was a retired housekeeper at Washington Hospital.
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, camping, taking care of her husband and family, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
On November 27, 1959 , she married Nicola Christy, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Bernadine Sisler of Mather, Antonette Springer of Rices Landing, Dora McCall of Aurora, Ohio, Jacquline Christy of Ohio, and Anthony Christy of North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Dutko of Staton, Virginia.
Deceased are two sisters, Andrea Chapman and Patricia Williams.
Friends will be received from 1 to 5 pm Thursday, November 15. Service will be held at 5:00 pm November 15 with Rev. Ken Jones officiating, in the Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behm-funeralhomes.com
