Frances Lois Bacon Sheldon Fischer, 98, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Thursday June 20, 2013 surrounded by her family at Wellstar Community Hospice Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta. Mrs. Fischer was born on April 23, 1915 to her parents Frank and Dorothy Zagelmeyer Bacon in Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Willard Frank Sheldon, Sr. October 1965 and Alfred A. Fischer, her son Robert John Sheldon April 1966, Brother Frank Bacon, Sister and Brother-in-law Dorothy Bacon Newberry and Frank Newberry, and niece, Nina (Newberry) Kaspi. She is survived by her son Willard Frank Sheldon, Jr....

She is survived by her son Willard Frank Sheldon, Jr. and His wife Jean H. Sheldon of Kennesaw, Georgia, Grandson Christopher F. Sheldon and Wife Amanda R. Sheldon of Roanoke, Alabama, Great Granddaughter Kylee J. Sheldon also of Roanoke, Great Granddaughter Tiffani Nicole Sheldon Of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Other survivors are her sister-in-law Betty Bacon of Farmington Hill,Ml,Brother Robert Bacon and his wife Roberta Bacon of Odessa, Texas, nieces and nephews, Barbara Bacon of San Rafael, Ca.,Linda (Bacon) Dillon and Husband Tom of Missouri City, Texas , Sue Newberry of Belvedere,Ca., Claudia Newberry of Mill Valley,Ca., James Robert & Barbara Bacon of Flint, Texas, Beverly (Bacon) Cowan of Scottsdale, Az., and Barbara Purnell of Abilene, Texas. Mrs. Fischer was a former elementary school teacher in michigan, a housewife, and during World War II while working for DuPont was employed with The F.B.I. doing all the employees fingerprinting and reading them. She was also a Diamond Life Master at Duplicate Bridge and at one time was the Delaware State Pistol Champion. Funeral Services for Mrs. Fischer will be held Monday June 24, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. under the direction Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.
