Francis Edward (a.k.a. Frank, F.E.) Benoit age 87 of Meadowlakes, TX passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. He was born on July 14, 1925 in Bastrop, TX. Francis is survived by his brother L.V. Benoit, son Byron Benoit, daughter Evon Benoit, grandchildren James Benoit, Denese Thompson, Yvette Benoit, Bryan Benoit and two great grandchildren. Francis is survived by his brother L.V. Benoit, son Byron Benoit, daughter Evon Benoit, grandchildren James Benoit, Denese Thompson, Yvette Benoit, Bryan Benoit and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Frank Benoit, mother Beatrice Benoit and sister Gayle Marshall. Francis was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Jean Benoit who passed in 1991. He was remarried in 2000 to Billie Jean Sanders who preceded Francis in death in 2009.
Francis was a dedicated employee of the City of Austin and retired after 41 years. He also served on the City of Austin Employees Retirement Board for 22 years. Francis was a decorated veteran serving in the Air Force in WWII as well as the Navy in the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge Hill Country #456. Francis excelled and was very active in local political campaigns up until his death. And everyone was well aware of his devotion to his beloved Aggies!

A Celebration of Life was held at the Hidden Falls Country Club, Meadowlakes, TX. at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2012.
