I knew Francis as a very young attorney with Poole & Poole in Fernandina beach where I also worked. I will always remember his great sense of humor, and his positive outlook on life. He was interested in politics then so it was no surprise to see he followed his passion.

Francis was a very frequent visitor to our home and a very welcome one. Erik met him in 5th grade and they were together from then through Law School. Lisa, Erik and I remember those times with great pleasure so it is especially sad to consider he is gone. Our deepest sympathy to all Francis' family.

George and Ann, There are no words to express my sympathy for what you are going through right now. The loss of a child is one of the most painful experiences in life. Please know you are not alone in your time of grief. Francis will be missed greatly by all, but his legacy will live on through his children and LeAnne. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God's Peace to you and your family.

Francis was a close neighbor and friend of our son, Jimbo, and he was in our home often in Fernandina Beach. They also graduated from high school together. My prayers go out to his family and children, and I will certainly keep them in my prayers during this sad time and also during the days of adjustment. He was so smart and had so much to give in life, but we have to trust God's will to take him now. I also knew the Tabers in Fernandina. God bless you all during this sad time. May the many memories of his life give you comfort.

I went to high school with Francis. Even then he was such a strong character. He was always stead fast and unwavering in who he was. He was also hilarious and just a fun guy to be around. I have thought of him many times over the years. Knowing him has definitely made an impact on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It was with great sadness that I read about the passing of Francis. I was blessed to know him as a colleague and a friend. His bright mind and engaging presence was a gift he gave freely to anyone he encountered and I was blessed to have known him during his time as Chief of Staff of the Florida Department of Transportation. My deepest sympathy is extended to his family and I pray that God's peace which does pass all understanding provides a level of comfort during these difficult times.
