Chihuahua Frank, I'm s-o-o sorry to hear of your death. Salvador told me that you were very sick and that really saddened me. I remember meeting you during the turbulent times of the 70's during the Chicano movement. You and Luis Cano and other companeros, were part of U of H MAYO trying to create the Mexican American Studies Program, a very successful and important program for Chicano students, while the rest of us were in Barrio MAYO stirring up our people to bring about progressive changes on the local level. Throughout the years we ran across each other while working on issues affecting our community. Frank, it was great working with you. You were so crazy and funny AND very intelligent. All of us who had the pleasure of knowing you will truly miss you.
"Go your way to the land of the Ancestors; there they wait for you with open arms, there on the edge between this world and the next. See; there they stand. Ancestral spirits, welcome this one to the place where we all must go."
