Frank Edwards Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2013.

Frank Edwards, of Twin Falls, quietly "slipped off the hook" early Saturday, July 27, 2013.

Born on August 25, 1930 in Freedom, Wyoming to Warren and Zella May Edwards, Frank finished high school early to enlist in the Army. While serving in Korea as a medic, he earned a purple heart.

After finishing his term in the military, Frank worked for Mountain Bell for 37 years before retiring. Never one to hold still for long, he worked for 12 more years before finally settling down as a part time camp host. With Zandra, he spent his summers at Grey's River, surrounded by family and friends.

Frank is survived by his two older brothers Willis and Gene, his loving wife Zandra, and his kids: Toni Edwards, John & JoDawn Edwards, Mike & Tammie Funke, Suzy & Tony Collins, Stormy Edwards, and Dusty & Dustin Olsen. He is preceded in death by his two sons Tom Edwards and Pete Edwards.

Frank was also blessed with several grandkids: Michael Ryan, Sandal, Leslie, Tyrel, Brandon, Caleb, Cassie, Harley, Madison, Porter, Kai, Hunter, Colton, Ashlyn, Dawson, and Aubry.

There will be no funeral, but we will be having a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the White House (365 Blue Lakes Blvd N, Twin Falls, Idaho).

Arrangements are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, "Chapel by the Park", Twin Falls.

Zandra and Family,
I just recently learned of Frank's death. Frank was probably the best foreman that I ever worked for. I have many many good memories of when I worked on Frank's line crew in '64 and '65. Frank was the kind of guy that you would work your butt off for in the day time and enjoy going out for a beer with him after work. Frank is now with Loren Benner and Johnny Finegan watching over those of us who are still here on Earth.

Papa
As I sit here at my computer screen reading the words of others. I can't help but smile and reminisce for a while About the man who made life worthwhile. You taught me to fish, to drive old blue ,And the right things to do. You loved me without judgment or Doubt even when I stumbled trying to figure life out. You protected me from harm in your comforting arms(we won't mention The pistol drawn)Even if the only danger was mice in the trunk of my Car! I hope the world knows that we lost such a beautiful soul
The day you left to go back to heaven. I know that your there Smiling down on us with my other favorite man by your side. Times flies by quick and in a blink of an eye we Will all be together on the other side. To al my family I love you so much. Sandal

Zandra and all the family....so very sorry for your loss...Frank was the BEST! He was forever kind to both Loren and I...no matter what. Had so much fun with him through the years and remember some great stories we experienced with him. I just know he and Loren have their heads together planning some sort of mischief right now. It will be difficult for a while yet but there are lots of us out here praying for all of you to be comforted at this time. Sending LOTS of love....Cheryl B and family
