NOVAK, Frank Joseph, 87, long-time resident of Forest View and most recently of Plainfield, was born in Cicero, IL on May 22, 1926 and went peacefully to be with his Lord on March 16, 2014. Frank was utterly devoted to his beloved wife of 48 years, Adele, who went to be with the Lord in 2000. Frank is survived by his four children, Diane (the latePatrick Kenney), Doreen (Wayne Roethler), Alan Joseph, and David Frank (Cindy). In addition Frank left five grandchildren, Melissa Novak (Gregg McCarty),Sue Roethler Warren, Sandy Roethler (Todd Alfes), and Mike Roethler (Laura), and Courtney (Chance Wendlandt); and seven great grandchildren,...

Frank was utterly devoted to his beloved wife of 48 years, Adele, who went to be with the Lord in 2000. In addition Frank left five grandchildren, Melissa Novak (Gregg McCarty),Sue Roethler Warren, Sandy Roethler (Todd Alfes), and Mike Roethler (Laura), and Courtney (Chance Wendlandt); and seven great grandchildren, Krista, Colin, and
Aaron Warren; Scott Alfes; Maggie and Emma Roethler; and the newest great grandchild, Ian Shea McCarty born this February. Also stepgrandchildren Chris Kenney (Erica),
Chad Kenney (Rosie), Brad Kenney (Steffanie) and six stepgrandchildren; Hunter, Myles, Aiden, Camden,
Tyler and Peyton. Frank was a very caring big brother to his three sisters, Betty, Mary and Helen, and to his brother Douglas.
Frank was a veteran of World War II and he retired from General Motors/Fisher Body after 40 years of service.
Frank will be dearly remembered for his great love of his wife and family and his sincere gratitude for the smallest acts of kindness and his incredible appreciation for life's simplest pleasures. We'll miss you, Daddy-O.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Joliet Area Hospice.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 from
2:00 to 8:00pm at Mount Auburn Funeral Home
