Frank T. Spennachio, 87, of Whiting passed away Friday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Frank was born in East Orange, and lived in Union City most of his life before moving to Whiting, in 1977. Frank graduated from Emerson High School, Union City and Montclair Teachers College, Montclair. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. He was a construction supervisor for J. & L. Excavators in Lakewood for several years, retiring in 1987. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Frank's wife Gloria passed away in 1998. Surviving is his niece and her husband Janet and Joey Sudyka, a long time companion Myrtle Fergerson, and several other nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 5 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ. His mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel in Whiting.
