Obituary

Colonel Frankie D. Hoskey, Sr. (USA Retired), 62, passed away in Tampa, FL on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Colonel Hoskey was a former resident of Kimball, WV. He was a graduate of Welch High School (Welch, WV), West Virginia State College (Institute, WV), and Ohio State University (Columbus, OH). He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service as a member of JAG Corp. He was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity while traveling across the United States. Colonel Frankie D. Hoskey, Sr. (USA Retired), 62, passed away in Tampa, FL on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Colonel Hoskey was a former resident of Kimball, WV. He was a graduate of Welch High School (Welch, WV), West Virginia State College (Institute, WV), and Ohio State University (Columbus, OH). He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service as a member of JAG Corp. He was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity while traveling across the United States.

Colonel Hoskey leaves to mourn his memory one son, Frankie D. Hoskey, Jr. (Kay), twin granddaughters, Isabelle and Charlotte, his mother, Charley, 3 brothers, 5 sisters and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Hoskey, Sr., and a brother, Bobbie Joe Woods. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 6477 Lincolina Road, Alexandria, VA 22312. Interment services with full military honors will follow in Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m.
