Obituary

On Sunday, July 20, 2014 our heavenly father wrapped his loving arms around our dad, Franky Camacho Atoigue and called him home to rest. Our dad was only 60 years of age. Dad was born on January 23, 1954 in Agana Heights, GU to the late Pilar Crisostomo Camacho and Pedro Gogo Atoigue. Many knew him as Franky, to his family he was known as "Kiko," but we were blessed to call him dad. Dad was born on January 23, 1954 in Agana Heights, GU to the late Pilar Crisostomo Camacho and Pedro Gogo Atoigue. Many knew him as Franky, to his family he was known as "Kiko," but we were blessed to call him dad. Dad had an active childhood which included climbing and falling off mango trees, going to the ranch, being an altar boy, playing basketball, participating in high school drum line, then later meeting our mother. After multiple moves from Guam to San Diego dad finally chose to call San Diego home in 1983. Dad was a simple, dedicated and humorous man who loved playing the Lottery and Fantasy Five, working for ASIG, smoking cigarettes and cracking open a Bud Light after a long day of work, bargain shopping for good deals on meats, playing Chamorro music and reminiscing on the good ol' days, feeding his birds, visits to Sycuan or participating in fund raisers in hopes of winning the jackpot, cooking Sunday dinner for his kids, phone calls with his sister, Janet, visits from his newest grandchild, Lakai, hanging out with his best friend, Carl, but most of all praying and thanking God for what he had. Dad's life was filled with lots of jokes, routine, laughter, stories, discipline, faith, friends and family.

Our dad was survived by his loving children Joycelyn Atoigue (Fayetteville, NC,) Joseph and Maria Atoigue (Valley Village, CA,) Joann and Marvin Reyes (Chula Vista, CA,) Jody and Shaira Atoigue (El Cajon, CA,) and Joel Atoigue (San Diego, CA.) His greatest pride were his grandchildren whom he loved and would put before himself. He will be greatly missed by grandchildren Sherrelle, Kurtis, Tishelle, Rashelle and Chantelle Gofigan, Jazelle Atoigue, Christian Valencia, Daniel and Lakai Atoigue. He was the brother of Doris and Bill Fejeran (Agana Heights, GU,) Janet Scott (Sacramento, CA,) Marian Atoigue (deceased,) Peter Atoigue (Agana Heights, GU,) Tricia and Troy Lizama (Agana Heights, GU.) Our father leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

If you would like to pay your respects, visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th from 4pm - 7:30pm with Rosary Vigil at 6 p.m. at Conrad Lemon Grove Mortuary, 7387 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 29th at 10 a.m. at St John of the Cross Catholic Church, 8086 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945 with burial following the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, California. A reception will follow the burial at St John of the Cross Catholic Church Hall.

Go rest now dad for you are with Christ our Lord.

Blessed are those who have died in the Lord; let them rest from their labors for their good deeds go with them.

Eternal rest grant unto Franky, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace. Amen.
