To my dearest Uncle Fred and Godfather, I will always remember you as such a positive influence in my life and one of my biggest champions. You helped guide me through one of the most difficult phases of my life and I will forever be grateful. You encouraged my writing and always complimented me and and gave me confidence when I doubted myself. You understood so much, gave me perspective and insight and your intelligence about so much both inspired me and helped me grow. I hope you knew how thankful I was for all those great conversations in college, and all the kindness and love you showed. I always looked forward to our "tradition" of having Chinese restaurant dinners when I visited California. I love telling the story on how you introduced me to my first curse word when I was 4 years old (by accident of course) but enjoyed when you told it more. I felt so special knowing you carried my high school senior photo in your wallet, and when you showed it to me last year looking all tattered and worn, my heart was full. When you made such a big deal that I sat in on one of your classes and was embarrassed that you gushed over me, I was also so flattered and felt so loved. I'm so happy you made it back to NYC several times in recent years, especially for my wedding where we were honored to have you do a reading. I loved that we shared a love for NYC and will think of you, as I always do, when I spend time in your old neighborhood. I will miss you a lot, but hope you've found that much-deserved eternal peace. With love always, your niece and Godchild, Liga

Kind, caring, funny, charming, smart, talented...and I hardly knew you! But you taught me so much and so much more than you'll ever know as one the best darn volunteers LARRS could have on the air. Engineering or behind the mic. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten. RIP my friend. Now jam on that piano in heaven for us all to hear. -DF
