Fritz Henschel, age 84, a resident of Hayward, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at the Golden Living Valley of Hayward.
Fred Raymond Henschel was born on August 5, 1928, on the family farm near Hayward to parents William and Mary (Fullington) Henchel. After school, Fritz served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. After his honorable discharge, his life took him to several states including California, Georgia, Florida, and Pennsylvania, before his permanent return to Hayward in 1993 where he worked for LP for a short time.
Fritz is survived by his brother Richard (Marion) Henchel of Hayward, sisters: Rose Baker of Maplewood, MN, Louise Marie (Don) Davis of Black River Falls, WI, many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.
Fritz is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Eleanor, George, Robert, Adolph, Paul, Elsie, and former wife and close friend Pat Guest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church 10680 N Main St., Hayward, WI 54843.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Hayward, WI.
