Freddy Armer, 84, of Ozark, died Friday, February 15, 2013 in an area hospital. He was born July 24, 1928 in Kingston, AR to the late Andrew and Matilda Armer. He was a signalman for the railroad, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Armer of the home; four daughters, Sue Erp of Van Buren, Toni Jolliff of Fort Smith, Pam Sackman of Charleston, and Charlotte Nordin of Clarksville; two sons, Jay Armer of Virginia, and Steve Armer of Clarksville; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Armer of the home; four daughters, Sue Erp of Van Buren, Toni Jolliff of Fort Smith, Pam Sackman of Charleston, and Charlotte Nordin of Clarksville; two sons, Jay Armer of Virginia, and Steve Armer of Clarksville; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be the Patriot Guard Riders.

The family will visit with friends on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
