Frederick Lowe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 14, 2017.

Frederick Rae Lowe, loving Husband, Dad, "Grampa" and friend passed away peacefully at home in the early morning on Thursday, September 14, 2017. His big heart just gave out. He was surrounded by family and friends…a captive audience listening to his stories until the last night when he went to sleep.
In his last few days, he told us how much it meant to him to be surrounded by so much love. He had so many friends and family members that he intended to call but he ran out of time. For those that he was able to visit with, he was truly touched by the outpour of love.
Fred never met a stranger and he gave of himself to help others in need. Fred will be deeply missed by his wife Eileen, children Tom Soper and Judy Soper, grandchildren Joshua Soper, Joel Smith and Christian Soper, Sister-in-Law Wanda Lowe, nieces Gail and Denise Streeter and nephews Mike, John, Paul and Ralph Lowe.
Fred did not want a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, it would make Fred and his family happy if you made a donation to Compassion United at https://app.mogiv.com/cu/fredlowe or any organization of your choice that helps those in need…people or animals.

Rest in peace Fred. Remembering the good times we had going to movies at the Liberty Theater in Horton and hanging out at your house. Seems like there were always some sandlot games, basketball, football or baseball at your house on central avenue. Prayers Eileen and family. God bless. Larry King

Fred was one of the sweetest, nicest people I ever met. He was a gentle soul, and a gentleman. I especially respected him for coming with Eileen to South Florida to care for her mother. We had many good times. All of us lost a wonderful man. May God be with his family through their loss.

One of the best guys I ever worked with at Continental Airlines in LoadPlanning. He always greeted me, Hey Burnt, and I replied to him, Hey Ferd. Good times! He was always willing to help anyone anytime. RIP Ferd!

Fred and I were both from Horton, Kansas. He was 4 years ahead of me in school but during college we became good friends. We drove to Florida together to work for the company that made Mercury boat engines. We have been communicating by email for the last several years. I will always remember his great sense of humor, kindness and loyalty to his friends.
