Frederick Franklin Schaub of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 6, 2012. He was born in Baltimore on February 17, 1930 to the late Frederick William and Mathilda (Vodicka) Schaub. Fred graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He was employed at the Martin Marietta Corporation where he worked on the Gemini space program. He then worked at Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Ground. Frederick Franklin Schaub of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 6, 2012. He was born in Baltimore on February 17, 1930 to the late Frederick William and Mathilda (Vodicka) Schaub.

Fred graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He was employed at the Martin Marietta Corporation where he worked on the Gemini space program. He then worked at Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Ground. Fred retired in 1988 as the Chief of the International Materiel Division under the Department of Defense.

Fred enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, travelling, and spending time with family, especially his beloved granddaughters who were the light of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Juanita Perry Schaub and his daughters Carol Schaub Skinner and Donna Jakuta and her husband Bill. "Granddaddy" will be sorely missed by his granddaughters, Caitlin, Brittany and Kelsey Skinner. Fred is also survived by his brothers and their wives, John and Marlene Schaub, and Richard and JoAnn Schaub, as well as nieces and nephews, great nieces and a great nephew. He was predeceased by his sister Verna Mae.

Please join us in remembering Fred. Visitation with the family will take place at St. Margaret's Church on Friday, December 14 at 12:00 noon followed by a funeral mass at 1:00.
