I was very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. A friend for many years in Mexico we sailed, snorkelled and ate out many times. I was glad I came to visit you to say goodbye the night before I left for home. I will miss him.

JoAnne,
I first met Dick when Hamilton and Avnet got together. He was an instant good guy in my initial evaluation and grew in that regard as time and events progressed. I remember the pleasant meal we had together after hatching up schemes to get around the local realtors' money making ambitions. I still have the Texas cowboy hat as a permenant trophy to our successful time together.
My Joan and I share a very heart felt empathy for your loss and personal challenges ahead. Fortunaley you have what we have, a strong support team in our children: for that we are happy for you.
Stay in touch

Mrs. Grant: I am so sad to learn of Dick's passing, he was great to work with over the years. I will remember his phone calls, which were for many different reasons always ended with a kind and/or funny word. He will be missed by me and everyone in my office that was fortunate enough to get to know him.

JoAnne,
Carol and I received your Christmas card today and were shocked and saddened to learn of Dick's passing. Dick was one of the most positive individuals that I ever knew. He had an infectious smile and demeanor and was an exceptional business man. The world has lost a extraordinarily gifted and admirable man.
May God Bless You,
Les Welborn

Joanne,
So sorry to hear about Dick's passing. He was such an inspiration to me over the years. His patience and direction helped me to achieve goals I didn't imagine were within my reach both personally and professionally. His smile was electric and his glass was always half full! I pray the Lord will bless you and your family during this time of sorrow. I'll leave you with a quote from William Wordsworth "Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends and family for strength, and always remember how much you are loved." God Bless you!

It was a pleasure to work with Dick for the 13 years I was at Hamilton Avnet. I enjoyed seeing him at the reunion several years back, and am going to miss him. He gave me great guidance during my time working with him, and helped shape the person I became. Thank you, you will be missed.

Our hearts are breaking over the loss of our dear friend. Over 40+ years of friendship made us family. We cherished his visits to our home and ours to his. We worked with him through our electronic industry jobs and came to have a high respect for his can do attitude and fun loving spirit. We loved going to the Hamilton parties and together he and Dale sold a lot of electronics which led to the inventions that make us all so connected today. They were in at the beginning. They had so many stories to tell. We loved our trip to the New Orleans Super Bowl. The Cowboys beat Denver. Afterwards we celebrated. We had so much fun. I will never forget his smile and he always had a kind and uplifting greeting every time we saw him. We just stayed with them before he left for Cancun. I did not know it would be our last fun time together celebrating his birthday. We loved you Dick and will never forget you. You will live in our hearts and memories forever. Love Dale and Annie

I was so sad to learn of Dick's passing. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I will always remember how gracious and generous he and JoAnn both were and the many times they opened up their home(s) to family and friend alike. So many fond memories.
Gene and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to JoAnn and the extended Grant family. God bless.
