Obituary

Gardner Beasley Granger, 83, of Winston-Salem passed away November 5, 2013. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Edison Bagley Granger, Sr. and Elizabeth Ruth Davis Granger. A loving father, grandfather, and friend. His favorite pastime was watching sports and also took pleasure watching his grandchildren play team sports. Mr. Granger was a big Virginia Tech fan. He enjoyed going to the games and rooting his team to victory. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Granger retired from RJ Reynolds after 31 years of valuable service. He is survived by his children, Kim Duncan (Randy) and Jill Robertson (Barry);...
Gardner Beasley Granger, 83, of Winston-Salem passed away November 5, 2013. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Edison Bagley Granger, Sr. and Elizabeth Ruth Davis Granger.
A loving father, grandfather, and friend.
His favorite pastime was watching sports and also took pleasure watching his grandchildren play team sports.
Mr. Granger was a big Virginia Tech fan. He enjoyed going to the games and rooting his team to victory.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Granger retired from RJ Reynolds after 31 years of valuable service.
He is survived by his children, Kim Duncan (Randy) and Jill Robertson (Barry); grandchildren, Matt Duncan, Kelsey Duncan, and Josh Robertson; and brother, Eddie Granger.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013, 11:00 am, at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Ramon Smith officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: College Park Baptist Church, 1701 Polo Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
