Obituary

Gary W. Bradshaw, of Route 11, McGraw, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2011 while under the care of his loving family and Hospice. A lifelong area resident, he was born December 7, 1946, the son of the late Harold L. and Hilda Wright Bradshaw. Gary was graduated from McGraw Central in 1965 and CCBI, Syracuse in 1966. He married the former June L. Phelps on April 27, 1968 in Blodgett Mills. Mr. Bradshaw was employed as a cost estimator with Smith Corona, Ozalid and SPM (Special Products Manufacturing), retiring in 1993. Gary W. Bradshaw, of Route 11, McGraw, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2011 while under the care of his loving family and Hospice.

A lifelong area resident, he was born December 7, 1946, the son of the late Harold L. and Hilda Wright Bradshaw. Gary was graduated from McGraw Central in 1965 and CCBI, Syracuse in 1966.

He married the former June L. Phelps on April 27, 1968 in Blodgett Mills.

Mr. Bradshaw was employed as a cost estimator with Smith Corona, Ozalid and SPM (Special Products Manufacturing), retiring in 1993.

Gary was avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish, he loved NASCAR, Country Music and spending time with his family. He was a former member of the S.A.L. Osco Robinson Post 617, Marathon.

Surviving is his wife of 43 years, June P. Bradshaw; two daughters, Michelle (Chad) Greeley of Brookville, PA and Jennifer Bradshaw (Bradley LeFever) of Homer; three grandchildren, Elise Michelle Greeley, Rachel Lynn Greeley, Tanner Gary William Bradshaw; a brother, Seymour Bradshaw (Janet Hill) of Homer and his sister, Nancy (John) Morton of Cortland. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his loving cat, Kodie.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Norman Bradshaw; infant sister, Patricia Bradshaw and his father and mother-in-law, Francis and Agnes Phelps.

Funeral services will be at 3p.m. on Tuesday at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer, with Pastor Archie Smith serving as celebrant. Interment in McGraw Cemetery will be delayed until spring.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Bradshaw's memory may be directed to the Hospice Foundation of Cortland County, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045 or to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
