Gary L. Starks 69, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2014.Gary was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on November 22, 1944. He graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from Purdue University in 1968. He married the love of his life Pamela Kay on January 27, 1968. Gary taught and coached at New Palestine High School for 37 years. He loved coin collecting, antiquing, taking pictures and videos, gardening, coaching and watching his grandchildren play sports, He loved watching his Boilermakers play football, Nascar and Indy Car Racing. 69, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2014.Gary was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on November 22, 1944. He graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from Purdue University in 1968. He married the love of his life Pamela Kay on January 27, 1968. Gary taught and coached at New Palestine High School for 37 years. He loved coin collecting, antiquing, taking pictures and videos, gardening, coaching and watching his grandchildren play sports, He loved watching his Boilermakers play football, Nascar and Indy Car Racing. Gary was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis and sat on the Board of Directors for the Olivet Foundation. One of gary's greatest loves was Camp Olivet.

Gary is survived by his wife Pam, Children; Dee Dee (Ryan) Horen, Donna (Jim) Kelly, Curtis Starks and his fianc'ee Bethany. He was Papaw to Jessica, Cameron, Brenna, Emily, Nathan, Zachary and Rylan. He is also survived by his mother, Lucille Starks-Dennis and brother, David Alan Starks. He was preceded in death by his father, Orion Lee Starks.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.at Little and Sons funeral home Stop 11 chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Indian Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis at 10:30 a.m. with visitation at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
