Gene Andrews, 49, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley, AL.
Gene was born September 16, 1962 in LaGrange. He worked most of his life as a Small Engine Mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Andrews.
Survivors include his son, Ryan Andrews of Decatur; a daughter, Cassie Buchanan of Summerville; mother and step-father, Linda and Jimmy Smith of LaGrange; brothers, Michael (Donna) Andrews and Wayne (Tabatha) Andrews, all of LaGrange; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will gather at the funeral home on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a time of remembrance for Gene Andrews.

I was so sorry to hear about Gene. Hits real hard when it is someone that you have seen grow up from an infant. Sorry I could not make it to the visitation, but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
