Geneva "Genny" Gee, 94, of Carmel, IN, formerly of Evansville, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born February 9, 1920, in Holland, IN to the late Ollie and Elsie (Meyer) Buse. She was one of nine children. She graduated from Selvin High School in 1937 and then moved to Evansville with a cousin to find work. She did odd jobs including clerking at the Baby Shop on Main Street and Franklin Drug. In 1941 she married Robert Anderson and they became the parents to two daughters. During World War II she worked at Chrysler gauging bullets and guns. In 1960 she went to work at Top Value...
Geneva "Genny" Gee, 94, of Carmel, IN, formerly of Evansville, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born February 9, 1920, in Holland, IN to the late Ollie and Elsie (Meyer) Buse. She was one of nine children.

She graduated from Selvin High School in 1937 and then moved to Evansville with a cousin to find work. She did odd jobs including clerking at the Baby Shop on Main Street and Franklin Drug. In 1941 she married Robert Anderson and they became the parents to two daughters. During World War II she worked at Chrysler gauging bullets and guns. In 1960 she went to work at Top Value Stamp Company and retired from there in 1982. She belonged to Emanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed doing mission work and being a part of the Senior Group. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She liked her home, sewing, flowers, round and square dancing, traveling, feeding the birds, playing cards and reading.

Genny was preceded in death by three husbands, Robert Anderson, Elmer Rabe and Glenn Gee; four sisters, Bernice Siebe, Marjorie Rothert, Dorothy Mae Ezell and Betty Rose Newkum; two brothers, Andrew and Henry Buse; and many nieces and nephews and their families; we were a large family.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Faye Knuth and her husband, Michael, of Carmel, IN and Lois Ann Anderson of California; five grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Martha, Marsha and Sarah; and six great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and two brothers, Wendell and Esto Buse, both of Holland, IN.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
