Geneva Revis, 89 of Bradenton passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at home.
She was born in Tennessee to the late Alma & Amos Moss. The family moved to Muncie, IN in 1935 before Geneva moved to Florida in 1978. She was a member of New Burlington United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Representatives Association (Whitney Chapter), Organized Past Matrons Organization, Women of the Moose (Academy of Friendship-Muncie Chapter), Ladies VFW Auxiliary, and Manasota Elks Lodge. She loved sewing, cooking, crafts, ballroom dancing, playing cards and bingo.
Geneva attended Muncie Central High School and graduated from the School of Practical Nursing in Muncie. She retired in 1999 from Blake Memorial after a 36 year career in nursing, including Ball Memorial Hospital and Muncie Clinic.
Survivors include a son, Martin (Judy) Revis of Westfield, IN; 3 daughters, Marcia (Jim) Hudson of Muncie, IN, Madeline (Gary) Atwell and Maria Brenner of Bradenton, FL; brother, Sandy (Connie) Moss of Winter Springs, FL. Geneva had 5 grandchildren, Rob (Mary) Wiseman, AK, Randall Shinkle (deceased), Russ Revis, KS, Melinda Cline, IN, Ryan (Julie) Revis, FL; 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins; her wonderful caregivers Donna, Ann, Danielle and countless others who helped with her care and loved her. She touched the lives of everyone who met her.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, June 17 from 5 - 8 pm and services will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 11 am at Manasota Funeral Home, in Bradenton.
