George E. Tealer, Sr. – U.S.A.F. (Retired), age 80, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 7, 2012.
George Tealer, Sr. was born October 21, 1931 in Gonzales, Texas to Mr. Lawyer George Tealer and Mrs. Rosell Tealer. He was the oldest son from a family of six children. His family moved from Gonzales, Texas in the 1940’s to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he attended Corpus Christi public schools and then Solomon Coles High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served his country for over 20 years of service before he retired.
George is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Peggie M. Tealer; one son, Guy V. Tealer; two brothers, Lawrence and Ross Tealer and one sister, Earline Knockless.
George is survived by two sons, George E. Tealer, Jr. and Gilbert L. Tealer; two sisters, Maggie (Samuel) Stoney and Fronia (Leland) Reed of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. A Chapel funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
