Big George my memory of you will never leave me. My son Jackson George was named after the late great Jack Loersch and you George. His name , Jackson George Strohmeyer. He's 12 now.
I will never forget the tour of the Fulton County Jail George gave my sisters and I when we would visit Atlanta from WI.
When I first met you, you were living out of a suitcase at Jack Loerschs house. I thought you were a real gypsy when I was a kid.
I just found out of your passing today January 3 2012. If anyone can provide me some details about how George passed I would appreciate it. You can e-mail me @ [email protected]
Rest in peace my friend.

George, I know it means a lot to be able to look out for Johnny again, but this place just got too quiet, too soon.

Big George, we miss you terribly, but know that you were needed elsewhere. There are some young troops who will be a lot safer because of the big angel looking over them. Semper Fi - you were loved.

A rocky road we shared, but love was never lost. I am honored to have been part of George's life and his family and have many warm memories that I will cherish forever. The world is a lot less safe without George but his and his family's good will will carry forward. If I know George, he is up there looking down on us, together with his beloved mom and dad and Johnny, looking down on us and giving us his big smile. Thank you George, you done good. I will miss you always. Love, Gigi

Big George was an honest soul who didn't mind telling you what was on his mind. I hadn't known him long but he was always friendly to me. He had a big heart that matched his name and physique and was always ready to step up to the plate when the hat was passed for a worthy cause. We do and will always miss your presence at the F.O.E 714 Rest in Peace my friend.
