Dan and Mike, my deepest and sincere condolences for your dad. Losing a father (mine 2 yrs. ago) is never easy. I am sure you both have found yourselves doing or saying something, and thinking, "Man, I sound, look, whatever ... like dad!" Great fathers pass on the core elements that sustain, lift and guide us as we grow. You both were always awesome caring friends, a reflection of being raised by an outstanding man. God bless you both & your families during this time.

Dear Patsy and Family: We are so sorry to hear about Dan's passing. We spent yesterday evening telling "Dan" stories. As a little girl, Lillie remembers calling Dan "Mr. Patsy." Dan was such a fun-loving and good-natured person. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor.

My mothers only brother "Bubba". "Uncle Bubba" to us, the stories she told us about how close they were as children, and all their moving from town to town and school to school following Grand Pa Barr's career through the southeast. The pride and love shown in her eyes as she told us about his great love of the outdoors, his skill in the field and on the water, how he looked after her and always made her feel special. She was the most proud of the husband and father he became, and told us how lucky Aunt Patsy and Uncle Bubba were to have each other. Uncle Bubba was the complete Man, he was funny, goofy, cute, serious, capable, loyal, loving, adventurous, and handsome. He was a man's man, a ladies man, an outdoors man, a businessman, and most importantly a gentleman. He truly was a gentle man.
All my love and admiration. Your proud nephew Chuck
