George T. Bass Jr., 69, of Kingwood, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. He was a proud graduate of The University of Texas who bled "Burnt Orange". George was a member of the Longhorn football team from 1962-64, winning the National Championship in 1963. He graduated from The University of Houston Law School in 1967 and practiced law until 1979. George then became the President of Chuska Energy, a position he held until 1988. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved to BBQ. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Suzy Bass. He is survived...

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Suzy Bass. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Glenda Jean Bass; children, Stacy Bass, Lisa Bass, Leslie Bass, and Jon Bass; grandchildren, Brooke Bass, Mason Bass, Derrian Price, Seth Bass, Christina Price, Leam Bass and Kimberly Garcia; brother, Leo Bass and wife Darlene; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family invites you to visit with them from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Kingwood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011 in the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas.
