Obituary

George E. Bobko, 78 of Mather, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born April 7, 1935 in German Township, Fayette County, a son of the late John and Anna Urbany Bobko. Mr. Bobko was a retired United States Post Office employee in Waynesburg with over 35 years of service. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Bobko was a member of St. Marcellus R.C. Church of Jefferson, where he also served as custodian for several years. On November 4, 1961 he married Dolores Severini, who survives. Mr. Bobko was a retired United States Post Office employee in Waynesburg with over 35 years of service.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Bobko was a member of St. Marcellus R.C. Church of Jefferson, where he also served as custodian for several years.

Also surviving is a brother, Stephen J. Bobko of Farmville, VA and several nieces and nephews.
A public Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Marcellus R.C. Church, Jefferson, with Fr. J. Francis Frazer as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post #954, Jefferson and the United States Army. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Marcellus R.C. Church, Jefferson. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behm-funeralhomes.com
