George Bradshaw Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 17, 2011.

George T. Bradshaw, Jr., of Newburgh, IN, completed his journey on earth on February 16, 2011 at 80 yrs. old. He was born February 4, 1931 in Chicago, IL.

He retired in Dec. 1991. He first worked at Servel, Red Bird, Whirlpool & Arkla/ Preway/Domectic. As a young boy he was a caddie at the Country Club & worked as an usher at the Victory Theatre.
George was gifted with working with wood. After he retired, he built a nice storage building at his house, the majority of it, he built by himself. George also made crafts for Christmas, family & friends, along with Connie helping George to make many things for the craft shops where they had a craft booth. He loved the challenge of making items that were complicated & required skill & time to create the finished crafts.

He truly loved his wife, Consuelo (Connie) very much along with his family/grandkids while watching them grow up over the years!

George had a wonderful sense of humor. He was delightful & always smiling. He always made people feel comfortable to be around him, and had a special talent to make people feel so comfortable. George was a very special person and is going to be greatly missed! George was walking and driving until the end!

He accepted the Lord when he was very ill in the hospital in 1995. Thanks to his Wonderful, Loving wife, Connie, she fed George thru a feeding tube for 1 year 24/7. George lived for 16 more years because of his Angel Connie! They are truly Soul- Mates, in love & happy from the day they met!

George was preceded in death by his parents, Emily 1995 & George Bradshaw Sr. 1993; his youngest son, Tab Bradshaw–2005; step-daughter, Marlene McKinney-2003; brother, Kenny Bradshaw- 1992; 1st wife, Louise Bradshaw- 1991.
George is survived by his wonderful, loving, caring wife and angel, Consuelo Bradshaw. George truly loved his wife, Consuelo! He told her daily, "You are truly my Angel. If I could marry you today, I would marry you all over again! I Love you so much Connie, I don't want to live without you! You are my Angel! As long as I have my Connie, I have everything!!!" He is also survived by a step-daughter, Cheryl McCormick; grandchildren, Tabitha, Kayla, LaDonna, Eric, Greg Jr. & Jason; great granddaughters, Cloe & Mirandi ~ Little Bitty Buddy; sister, Billie Jo Ledcke; nephew, Kevin; nieces, Jessica, Kimberly & Missy.

We love you & will miss your smile that started our day!

Services will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 5-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I worked for a doctor he saw. I had 2 small children at the time, girls, and he made them a lot of toys and they still have them to this day. They are now 17 and 18. I still have his wooden flower box he made for me. He and Connie were wonderful to me and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I will be praying for connie and the family.

We have such wonderful memories of George that we will cherish forever. We couldn't have ever ask for such better neighbors. George and Connie have such a glow about them when you are around them that you couldn't help but smile. You could always feel the love. George was probably the kindest man we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank You George for all your hard work and kindness in this world and for making all around you smile. You will be greatly missed. Your Neighbors, Cindy and Curt
