CORNETT, George B., age 95, of Sterling Heights, July 4, 2012; loving husband of the late Renavae for over 65 years; predeceased by his daughter Ilene Cornett; loving father of Terry (Susan), Tonna, and Jerry Cornett; grandfather of Jason, Jessica, Brandon, Troy and Alysa; great-grandfather of Karena, Alaina, Justin, Ava, Faith and Aubrey-Anna; brother of Eva Cook and the late Dewey Cornett. George retired in 1984 from the Chrysler Corp.; Visitation Sunday and Monday 12-9 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills; Funeral service Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by entombment at Christian Memorial Cemetery, 521 E. Hamlin Rd., Rochester Hills. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 or the American Diabetes Association, 300 Galleria Officentre, Ste. 111, Southfield, MI 48034. I am so very sorry for your loss. My love and prayers are with you. Tonna, I hope you can find comfort in knowing that you took the best of care with your Dad. You were truely his angel. Not to be funny but, it would figure knowing your Dad... that he would pick Independence day to go home to your Mom.
