George E. Davis, Jr., 76, of Mesa, AZ, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on June 20, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Davis, three daughters, Jamie Levy (Mike), Trisha Powers, Sheri Rodriguez (Nick) and one son, Steve Lemons (Nannette) along with six grandchildren, Kelsey, Nicholas, Davis, Derek, Zachary, and Sophie, a sister, Laura Stratton, two sisters-in-law, Kathy Hadwin (Jim) and Jackie Lentz (John) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patty Davis. George was born April 26, 1936 in Ardmore, TX and spent most of his youth in Southern, CA. He attended...
George E. Davis, Jr., 76, of Mesa, AZ, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on June 20, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Davis, three daughters, Jamie Levy (Mike), Trisha Powers, Sheri Rodriguez (Nick) and one son, Steve Lemons (Nannette) along with six grandchildren, Kelsey, Nicholas, Davis, Derek, Zachary, and Sophie, a sister, Laura Stratton, two sisters-in-law, Kathy Hadwin (Jim) and Jackie Lentz (John) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patty Davis.

George was born April 26, 1936 in Ardmore, TX and spent most of his youth in Southern, CA. He attended the University of Santa Clara where he obtained his BS in Physics in 1958. After college, George spent 3 years as a Naval Aviator in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Captain. His professional career including 4 years with Lockheed in California and 31 years with Allied Signal Aerospace Co. (now Honeywell) in Arizona, last serving as Director of Product Safety and Integrity for the Aerospace sector. During his tenure with Allied Signal, George obtained an MBA from Arizona State University.

Memorial service will be held at Love of Christ Lutheran Church, Center of Compassion, 1525 N. Power Road, Mesa, AZ, Thursday June 28th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
