You are such an important part of our life. Always there to give me a big hug, make me laugh and simply listen. I will miss the gleam that you would get in your eye when you were pulling someone's leg. You so openly showed your love for your family and I hope to be half the parent and grandparent you were. I love you.

My Father is my hero, he is also many other things to me and he thought me a great many things. Most of all he inspired a love for learning and reading, with a special shared love of history. Two other things he thought me that I would like to share are; "It is better to owe someone then to cheat them out of it." And "make sure that those people who are special and important to you know just how much you love them."
Dad, I will continue to do my best to make you proud of me.
