George "Mr. Mack" Hawk, 90, entered into Eternal Peace with Our Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home in Prattville, Alabama.
He was born on January 4, 1923 in Prattville, Alabama. Except for a few years of California residency, he spent almost the entirety of his life in his hometown that he loved.
Mr. Mack proudly served his Country during WWII while enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps as a member of the Military Police. He later re-enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant.
Mr. Mack was predeceased by his long time childhood sweetheart & much beloved second wife of over 35 years, Millie Hawk.
He was also predeceased by his dear sister, Margaret Hawk, his loving parents, William "Mack" & Annie Hawk as well as his former first wife, Marcelle Molloy & his stepson, Jerry Stanfield.
Mr. Mack is survived by his only daughter, Kari (Karen) de Talence. He also leaves an incredibly beautiful statement of a legacy of his life in her three children. Together with their spouses, he is also survived by his grandchildren; Chad McClintock & his wife Jennifer, Paige McClintock & his wife Cathy and Cherish Wybenga & her husband Bob.
They are joined in this loving legacy by Mr. Mack's great-grandchildren; Ryan Axtel, United States Army SPC Blake McClintock & his wife Daniela, Trevor McClintock, Hilary Dellaripa, United States Navy Petty Officer Josh McClintock & his wife Tatyana, Breeauna Minniear, Brittany Minniear, Kylie Dunne & Hayden Wybenga. The special expression of Mr. Mack's life's legacy additionally includes his precious great-great-grandchildren; Ally & Landen. He is also survived by Lori & Gary George of Prattville, Alabama for whom he cared about as if they were family.
Graveside Services with Military Honors for Mr. Mack are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Wetumpka St., Prattville, Alabama (334) 365-9997.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Ridout's Prattville Chapel (334) 365-5982.
