Susan and Scott,

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. You don't know me, but my mother, Virginia, was married to your dad's brother, Don. Quite by chance I saw a death notice for your father in Time magazine. He passed away just 4 days after my mom. I know mom kept in touch with your family until alzheimers made that impossible a few years ago. And I know she was close to your dad and his parents, who in spite of their own grief, gave her a refuge and much comfort after the tragic car accident that took Don's life and their two young children's.

As you may know, my mom eventually remarried and had two children, my brother and myself, and three grandchildren. If you are interested, you can view her obituary at: http://leaderadvertiser.com/obituaries/article_24053ed6-da50-11e0-bf2b-001cc4c03286.html

Dear Scott, Sue and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Your Dad was like a second father to me when I was young. He was always kind and concerned with my well being. We were so very proud of him as a representative for the Senior Olympics. George attended Beaumont with my Dad and they were life long friends and golfing partners. We will really miss him.

I delivered packages to Mr. Hendry for years at his small office on Pershing. He was always friendly and kind. He was one of customers I truly missed when I left that U-City route. God Bless Mr. Hendry.

George and my dad (Warren Troll) were great pals for many years (Beaumont). Dad and George played lots of golf games. Dad always spoke very fondly of him. George also did my yearly taxes. He was a great guy. We are sorry for your loss.

Sue, Scott and Janet...
I count myself so lucky to have been able to spend a few days with George last summer in St. Louis and on the occasion of his 90th Birthday party. He was truly a "gentle" man and so bright and fun to be around. I will always remember him as the sort of kind and intellegent person I hope to grow to be when I have lived as long as he has!

Sorry to hear about the loss of George. Went to school with him at Beaumont. Remember playing table tennis in Minnegerode's sports store basement.

Scott, Susan, and family.

Our family was sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful father and our dear Uncle George. We will always remember his warmth and thoughtfulness over the years.
We were so happy to be with him and the Hendry family at his 90th birthday last summer at "the farm."
Regretfully we are unable to attend the memorial service this Sunday. Our thoughts will be with you as you celebrate his remarkable life.
