Obituary

George A. Linberg, 77, of DuBois, passed away April 2, 2013 at DuBois Regional Medical Center. Born on October 13, 1935, the son of the late Carl and Elvira (Lockey) Linberg. On December 1, 1955 he married Mary (Carr) Linberg, whom passed away on December 7, 1984. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a bus driver for Fullington Trailways. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Moose, Elks, Eagles, American Legion, VFW, Pulaski Club and Swedish American Club. George A. Linberg, 77, of DuBois, passed away April 2, 2013 at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Born on October 13, 1935, the son of the late Carl and Elvira (Lockey) Linberg. On December 1, 1955 he married Mary (Carr) Linberg, whom passed away on December 7, 1984.

He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a bus driver for Fullington Trailways. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Moose, Elks, Eagles, American Legion, VFW, Pulaski Club and Swedish American Club. George enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, gardening and socializing with friends at the various clubs.

Mr. Linberg is survived by his five daughters: Marie and her husband Jeff Fye of Brookville, Debbie and her husband Bryan Ollom of OH, Karen and her husband Greg Hand of DuBois, Carolyn A. Linberg and life partner Christine Adams of Clarion and Pamela Linberg of DuBois; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; also survived by four sisters: Geraldine Milliron of Scranton, PA, Tilda Whitton of Myrtle Beach, SC, Thelma Carol Armstrong of Fredericksburg, VA and Gertrude Dickerson of Fredericksburg, VA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter Sharon Murdock, four brothers: Carl Linberg, Bill Linberg, Rev. Robert Linberg and Ronald Linberg; also preceded in death by his companion Candice Barrett.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Pastor Ed Reich officiating.

Friends will be received from 4:00-8:00PM on Friday, April 5 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. Military honors will be provided by the Dubois Area Honor Guard at 5:00pm at the funeral home.

An additional hour of viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00pm until the hour of service.

Memorial donations can be made to DRMC ICU or Christ the King Manor.
