George Minor, Ecru George Clay Minor, age 79, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, a retired furniture factory worker and had worked at Security Plus as a security guard. Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home in Ecru with Rev. Joe Herndon officiating; burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Ecru is in charge of the arrangements. George Clay Minor, age 79, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, a retired furniture factory worker and had worked at Security Plus as a security guard.

Survivors include his two daughters: Teresa Robbins (Wayne) of Ecru and Kimberly Jo Coker (Ronnie) of Abbeyville, MS; two sons: Steve Moody (Kathy) of New Albany, MS and Anthony George Minor of Ecru; his sister: Mary Nell Smith of Myrtle, MS; the mother of his children: Shirley Ann Hill Minor; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: G.W. Minor and Quay Carter Minor and his three sisters.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Robbins, Horace Kitchens, Justin Robbins, Brody Hendrix, Randy Wilson and Anthony Pegues.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 PM Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
