Georgia J Forsythe, age 96, of Knoxville, (Karns) passed away peacefully in her home on Monday January 15, 2018. Mrs. Forsythe never drove a car but drove her seven children in the way they should go in life. Mrs. Forsythe was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church since 1957. She attended as long as her health permitted. She was born on August 4, 1921 to the late Clarence and Amy Jones. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dave Forsythe. Georgia and Dave were more than a couple, they were a team. She is also preceded in death by granddaughter, Paula J. Forsythe; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Nelson ; sister, Nora Brame. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Judy, Larry and Wanda, J.D and Joyce, Joe and Phyllis Forsythe; daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Jim Fultz, Carolyn and Gene Lamb and Deloris Dyer; grandchildren, Peggy Ford, Stanley Forsythe, Wayne Philip Ferguson, Angie Roberts, Sonya Shafer, Harry "Eddie" Forsythe, Richard Forsythe, David Ferguson, Andrea Nelson, LeAnn Koontz , Jason Lamb, Larry Forsythe, Jr., James Fultz, Jr., and Sharon Clark; 31 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lorene Tucker. Visitation will be held Friday at Weaver's Chapel from 5-7 pm with service to follow at 7:00 pm, Dr. Ron Stewart officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 10:45 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 am interment. Special thanks to caregiver Coral Lewis for her loving care for the last three years.
