Gerald (Jerry) Maurice Pam was born October 17, 1926 in London, England. After World War II, Jerry and his parents immigrated to Australia. He left Australia in 1953 and moved to Los Angeles, California. His first jobs in the mid 1950s were as a reporter for a local newspaper and for Variety. Subsequently, he began working as a publicist for MGM studios.
In the 1960's, in partnership with Richard Guttman, Jerry built a widely recognized public relations firm in the entertainment industry that represented many important figures in film, television, and music. Reflecting his lifelong love of film and the arts, Jerry served for many years on the Foreign Film Committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Pam, and stepchildren Erin Dingilian, Susan Dingilian, and Tim Dingilian, and his grandson Landon Lombardo. He also had a daughter, Leslie Pam (deceased) by a previous marriage.

I am absolutely shocked to read of Jerry's passing. Jerry Pam was among the finest and most professional Hollywood publicists I have ever worked with. He was a friend too..and a consummate pro at what he did for his clients from Michael Caine to Robert Stack to many, many other stars. I will always remember Jerry and his wit, humor and kindness. My condolences to Janice and family.

I loved Jerry Pam. He was married to my cousin and they were the cutest of couples. I have fond memories of him but my absolute favorite was when I was around 10 years old and we were at a family wedding, he saw that I wanted to dance but was far too shy to actually do it , so he lead me out into the dance floor and showed me how to dance! I always remember that moment.. it was a moment for just the two of us. I will miss him dearly.

Jerry Pam was a dear friend and amazing person. He was large part of Hollywood during the "Golden Years" when Stars were actually Stars. Jerry was the Star behind many of those Stars!
Love to you Jerry
