Gerald Lee Capps 85, died on June 12, 2017 at his home following a long battle with cancer. He joined his wife Rosalee, and one grandson in his heavenly home. He leaves behind 5 children, Donetta Thompson, Rick (Debbie) Capps, Teresa (Dennis) Stange, Christina (Larry) Daley, and Jeffrey (Janet) Capps; 10 grandchildren as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Gerald was born in Liberal, MO on October 28, 1931 to Albert and Cecil Capps and was the middle of 3 boys, Junior being the oldest, Merle the youngest, both deceased. He was a PFC Corporal in the army from 1949 to 1952 and retired from BMAC after 28 years of service. Gerald had a variety of hobbies which included spending time working on cars. Funeral service will be at Community of Christ Church, 3500 S. Webb on June 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in the garden of Prayer at 1 p.m. No viewing will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up at Community of Christ Church.
