Geraldine "Geri" Rose Martin, age 83, passed away peacefully at home and joined the other angels in Heaven on August 17, 2013 in Spokane, WA. She was born April 13, 1930 in Colville, WA to Gerald and Rose (Spiger) Peterson. She was the little sister to her two older brothers, John (Jack) and Howard. Geraldine and her husband, Harry, enjoyed traveling, which included a trip to Australia and cruising Alaska and the Panama Canal.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her daughter Linda Harper. She is survived by her son, Donald Townsend Jr., and his wife Linda of Spokane; step-daughters, Jan (Noel) Dalziel and Connie (David) Brown; grandchildren, Don (LeaAnne)Townsend III, Kevin (Julie) Townsend and Jerin Harper; step-grandchildren, Trevor, Ryan, Melissa, and Brittany Brown; and three great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Riverview Retirement Center, 1711 E. Ross Court, Spokane, WA. To leave online tributes and dedications, please visit Geraldine's website at www.hazenjaeger.net.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Horizon Hospice.
