Geraldine "Mamaw" Andrews, 87, of Doddridge, AR passed away September 25, 2012 in a local hospital. Mrs. Andrews was born February 6, 1925 in Rodessa, LA. She was a member of Lowel Street Baptist Church, Texarkana, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Andrews; parents, Ben and Thelma Welborn; sisters, Mary Jo Davis and Lydia Davis; brother, James Welborn; and grandson, Michael "Little Mike" Andrews.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Elaine and Winfred Purifoy of Doddridge, AR; sons and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Diane Andrews of Queen City, TX and James Andrews of Huntsville, TX; sister, Myrtie Mae Autrey of Wake Village, TX; 9 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. George Goynes and Rev. Raymond Davis officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
