On Sunday, October 21, 2012, Gerda W. Strauss passed away at Laurel Regional Hospital at the age of 89. She was born in Berlin, Germany on February 23, 1923 and was a resident of Laurel since 1959. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Strauss, and her son, Peter G. Strauss. Gerda is survived by her son, Ralph E. Strauss, and his wife Pam, granddaughter Shannon Gray and her husband Jason, grandson Brandon Strauss and his wife Jamie, great-grandson Max Strauss, granddaughter April Forsythe-Butz and her husband Michael, and grandson Duane C. Forsythe.
Friends and family visitation will be on Thursday, November 1st, at Fleck Funeral Home, 7601 Sandy spring Road, Laurel, MD, between 6 pm and 8 pm. On Friday, November 2nd, a service will be held at 11 am at Fleck Funeral Home followed by interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd (at Dorsey Road), Elkridge, MD
