Gertrude Neusetzer LEE, a retiree of Allied Chemical Southworks, left this earth for her eternal home at 7AM on May 16, 2017. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend graduated from Istrouma High School, Class of 43. She was a lifelong resident of Louisiana and resided in Gonzales for the past 12 years. She was born December 29, 1924. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie H. and Helen Smith Neusetzer, son David Wayne Wood, husband Rennie C. Lee, brother Walter Neusetzer and wife Dobie Kirkwood Neusetzer, brother Willie Neusetzer, and brother Paul Neusetzer. She is survived by one son, William "Bill" T. Wood, Jr. and wife Jan Bourgeois Wood, two grandchildren, Michele Rabalais, Brandy Morin and husband, Scott Morin, two step grandchildren Alexis Bourgeois and Jacques Bourgeois, and four great grandchildren Tyler Rabalais, Cameron Morin, Claire Morin, and Ava Alexis Bourgeois as well as one sister-in-law, Opal Mitchell Neusetzer and nieces and nephews, Judy Neusetzer Stafford and husband Clark, Paul "Chris" Neusetzer, Jr. and wife Carol, Walter E. "Junior" Neusetzer, Jr. and wife Sharon, Dr. Scott M. Neusetzer and wife Jeanne, and Willie John Neusetzer and wife Dana and their families. Gertrude will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She supported many organizations including St. Jude Children's Hospital, the Wounded Warrior Project, VFW Auxiliary, and the Disabled Veterans just to name a few. She enjoyed fellowship with the Ladies of Grace Presbyterian Church, working 500 piece puzzles to remain sharp, reading the paper, and loving on her great grandchildren and grandchildren. Friends and family are welcome to attend visitation at Grace Presbyterian Church located at 9526 Joor Road in Baton Rouge, 70818 on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until funeral service time at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Florida Blvd. Special thanks to all of her caregivers, Miriam, Linda, Loretta, and Tamara, as well as Dr. Christopher Turner and Nedra Gros of OLOL and Rebecca Dinino.
