A former patient of Trudy's and mine contacted me this month to share about a friendship that began in 1978 having met in group therapy that Trudy and I led together at the OSU Student Mental Health Clinic. She asked if Trudy were still alive. It made me look up Trudy via Google where I found her obituary. Trudy was a delight to work with, a warm and fun person who helped many. I find myself still today telling young psychiatry residents about things I learned from her....such as how to medicate persons with early psychosis or suspected to develop psychosis and how it tended to work and how this is the common practice today. Perhaps you who are Trudy and Jim's offspring will read this and know that she is remembered by patients from 1978 and by me, her colleague as well as some of our other colleagues at the Student Health Service and indirectly by current psychiatry residents.
