Gertrude Berryman Obituary

Gertrude M. (Dube) Berryman, age 92 of Swansea formerly of Barlow St., Fall River, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Country Gardens Skilled Nursing Center in Swansea. She was the wife of the late Clifton E. Berryman.

Born in Fall River the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Fish) Dube she spent over 30 years in Fall River, lived in Westport and Dartmouth before moving to Swansea 12 years ago. Mrs. Berryman was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator for over 10 years for the former Stella Anne Frocks in Fall River. She was a member of the Westport Senior Citizens Club and was very talented with crafts and making clothing.

She is survived by her daughter Judith A. Morrow and her husband Carl of Swansea and several nieces. She was also the mother of the late Clifton E. Berryman Jr.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 12pm in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 11am to 12pm prior to her service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Kathy Oliveira, Activity Director @ Country Gardens Nursing Home 2045 GAR Hwy., Swansea, MA 02777.
