Gertrude Marmar Harris, age 101, of Dallas, formerly of Nacogdoches, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Walnut Place Nursing Home in Dallas. Gertrude was born on June 14, 1912 in Tyler, Texas to the late Louis V. and Fannie Laskowitz Marmar. Gertrude graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Gertrude had a deep passion for music and played the piano by ear. In her free time, Gertrude enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bridge player attaining the title of Life Master. Gertrude lived more than a century and yet the time she had will never seem enough to her beloved family.
